Psychological First Aid is an evidence-informed support framework for assisting staff, colleagues, team members and their families in the aftermath of a crisis, disaster, critical incident or terrorism event. 

PFA is a way to provide emotional support to people of any age or background in order to reduce the initial distress caused by the critical event and to foster short- and long-term coping.

For who?

For delegates that have attended Family Liaison in a Crisis this is a one day refresher training.

An opportunity to brush up on skills and knowledge. We will draw on case studies and have ample opportunity for role plays. This training will also go deeper into understanding trauma, principles of family liaison and personal/organisational boundaries.
